With plans to double in size within a year through acquisitions, they are building their accounting infrastructure to support this growth.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be crucial in transitioning our accounting practices from cash to accrual accounting and supporting our growth strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building accounting infrastructure, experience with M&A activities, and a drive to take ownership of their work.Key Responsibilities• Prepare all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.• Manage payroll, billings, A/R, WIP, and disbursements, including liaison with the billing department.• Handle A/P, vendor liaison and payments, EFT, wire payments, and bank reconciliations.• Support the development of financial reporting processes and identify opportunities for improvement through automation and standardization.• Transition from cash to US GAAP accounting in QuickBooks.• Administer and provide support with future system implementations and transitions.• Support the development of the annual budget process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and industry-specific requirements.• Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies.• Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership.• Oversee cash management and forecasting to maintain financial stability.• Act as the point of contact for external auditors.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.• Experience or knowledge of QuickBooks and EmergentConnect.• 6-8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a focus on operational roles.• Proven experience in the healthcare industry and exposure to mergers and acquisitions is highly desirable.• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.• Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities.What We Offer• Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses.• Opportunities for growth in a rapidly expanding company.• A collaborative and dynamic work environment.• Comprehensive benefits package.
